Knowledge Mining and Applications on Live Search query logs
In recent years, web usage data has become an important resource in information retrieval (IR). In this project, we will explore the utilization of the query log data in several ways based on knowledge mining, including query processing for search relevance, user behavior analysis for personalization, and temporal/emergent topic discovery. In this way, we are able to accumulate human knowledge, better understand users, and improve search performance.
